Specifications
The injection molding process involves melting medical-grade thermoplastics, like polypropylene (PP) ,and injecting the molten material into the mold cavity under high pressure. This rapid cooling and solidification process forms the syringe parts with consistent dimensions and smooth surfaces.
The syringe barrel is securely held in place by a rotating fixture, ensuring stable positioning during the printing process. A roller, engraved with the required patterns or text, comes into contact with the moving barrel surface. As the barrel rotates, the roller transfers ink-often medical-grade, non-toxic, and smudge-resistant-onto the barrel, creating clear, permanent marks.
The pre - formed barrels, plungers, along with other parts like gaskets and needles, are brought together. Automated assembly lines are often utilized here. The equipment precisely fits each component, ensuring that the plunger moves smoothly within the barrel, and the needle is securely attached to the barrel hub, laying the foundation for a functional syringe.
Once assembled, each syringe undergoes individual packaging. The syringes are placed into sterile, tamper - evident packaging materials such as blister packs. This not only protects the syringes from external contamination but also provides a clear indication if the package has been opened improperly before use.
The finally assembled and packaged syringes are sterilized. Large - scale sterilization equipment is used to eliminate all potential microorganisms. Common methods include ethylene oxide sterilization . This step is crucial to ensure that the syringes are sterile and safe for medical use, preventing the risk of infection when they reach patients.
